there anything more upsetting of a war? Yes There is still something
more catastrophic destroy children. The hand as strong as
sensitive director Rose Bosch, a former journalist, through "Legends of the
spring", deals with a difficult moral force,
World War II and the Holocaust from the perspective of children . They are the protagonists

Summer 1942. Paris. Between benevolence and contempt,
Parisian Jewish families have learned to live in occupied Paris, on the hill of Montmartre, where they found refuge
. So I thought until the morning of
16 July 1942, when their frail shadow of life falters.
Jews are first forced to wear the yellow star, then
are removed from any public place, by their use by schools. In
Montmartre district home to many Jewish families, including that of
Joseph, 10 years. The situation is worsening day by day and the city
divided: some are trying to protect and help their neighbors Semitic, others
insult them and mock them.
In the night between 15 and 16 July, the fate of the Jews of Paris
change forever following an agreement between Hitler and General Petain,
thousands of Jews, including Joseph and his family,
are conducted at the Stade Velodrome d'Hiver, where they stay for days without water, without sanitation services
and with very little food, poor health, especially the children
. Paris to help a few brave as the nurse Annette
Monod and the firefighters who not only quench them with water cannons,
contrary to orders, but agree to deliver a secret message to relatives and friends
. Deported to the concentration camp Beaune-la-Rolande,
still in French territory, the Jews keep the hope and, above all
families are still together. But one morning
Joseph and other children are separated from their parents.

of Montmartre. Joseph Weismann is the only survivor.

Their meeting has been valuable to try to bridge, even if
with infinite pain, the pieces of the inhuman war that the Nazis and Vichy
have waged against children. The
Rafla (The raid) is the title of the film, tells the story of real people
and tragic events to happen. From
Velodrome d'Hiver, where they are stored 13,000 arrested, the field
Beaune-la-Rolande (a prison camp in France still today
few know that they exist), from Vichy to the terrace of the Berghof, the Spring Wind
follows the victims of Crossed Destinies and executioners. Twenty-five people
about 13,000 of those are raked back alive, and even a
of 4,051 children. The
director with producer Ilan Goldman (wife and husband in life)
tell a story ever brought to the big screen: that of
deportation of French Jews (the Vel 'd'Hiv roundup was the most massive
all times.)
The confident style and tone make documentary Spring wind
accessible to a wider audience. With profound understanding in telling the
nonsense, starting from the inner dimension of the protagonists
(private life, the daily newspaper), the director has created a work of great impact
. Having watched hundreds of hours of footage of
radio and read a number of books and archives
propaganda, Bosch was able to inspect the pain, leading to knowledge that infinite
pain. The shot of the detail, dialogue disarming purity of vision
children, gestures
uncovered the emotion of those who room, taking questions resurface, most notably those aimed
nurse Annette to a policeman that the column
velodrome: "why do not you rebel?".
