Written by Sister Lucia (Fatima) to Father Fuentes in 1957 on the current time:
Father the devil is about to engage in a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin. And who the devil knows what most offends God and that will get them in a short time as many souls. So the devil does everything to get the better of the consecrated to God, because he knows that, as the souls of the faithful, left without guidance, they will fall more easily into his hands. What especially offends the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the fall of the souls of priests and religious. The devil knows that religious and priests who fall away from their high calling, drag numerous souls to hell. [...] We're not waiting for a call to repentance by the Holy Father, or from our bishops and religious congregations. No! Our Lord has already very often used these means and the world if they have not paid attention. And 'why now, it is necessary that each of us to begin to reform himself spiritually. Each of us has a duty to save not only himself but also all the souls that God has placed in its path. The Blessed Virgin did not say explicitly that we have reached the end of time but there are three reasons why I believe it. The first reason is that she said that the devil is about to wage a decisive battle against the Virgin. And a decisive battle is one final battle where one side will be victorious and the other defeat. We have to choose from now which side they are for God or the devil. There is no other possibility. The second reason is that she told my cousins \u200b\u200band me, that God had decided to give the world the last two remedies against the evil that the Holy One Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. These are the last two remedies which signify that there will be others. The third reason is that in the plans of Divine Providence, God is forced to punish the world, before doing so tries to correct it with all other remedies. Now, when he sees that the world does not pay any attention to his messages, then, as we say in our imperfect language, he offers us "with some concern" the last chance of salvation, the intervention of His Most Holy Mother. It does so "with some concern" because even if this last resource will not be successful, we can not hope for any kind of perdono dal Cielo, perché ci siamo macchiati di quello che il Vangelo chiama un peccato contro lo Spirito Santo. Non dimentichiamo che Gesù Cristo è un Figlio molto buono e non ci permetterà di offendere e disprezzare la Sua Santissima Madre.
